The Retreat


Our boutique health retreat offers packages to suit your individual wellness, weight loss and fitness goals. We only host a small number of clients at a time to ensure we can give you the support and guidance you need.  We also offer the perfect oasis to simply stay and relax.


The retreat has a fully equipped gym, salt water pool, sauna and Jacuzzi set in a sub-tropical garden. We offer a range of fitness classes, a daily off site activity such as hiking or cycling and the opportunity to get pampered in our spa.


For accommodation, you can choose from a poolside two-bedroom unit; 2 poolside rooms with ensuites; a  luxury glamping tent; or our beautiful adobe room overlooking farmland. Our rooms have Eco.Fresh amenities which are paraben and cruelty free, biodegradable and environmentally responsible.




Homemade healthy meals are prepared on site using local produce and we can cater for any dietary requirements.  If

staying for accommodation, a healthy breakfast menu is included and you may purchase other meals during your stay.

Philippa Cooper, Managing Director, Personal Trainer, Wellness & Mindfulness Coach

The retreat is run by owner Philippa Cooper together with a team of support staff.

Philippa believes a balance of healthy food, support, nature, relaxation and exercise can help you to reset your mind and focus on future goals.

A former body builder and triathlete competitor, Philippa has run her own gyms for over 15 years.  She knows the importance of looking after your body and your mind. Being a mum, grandma and running her own business also means that she knows how the daily stresses of life can become overwhelming and you just forget to look after yourself.

If you want to lose weight, Philippa offers a weight loss guarantee and loves to show people how easy it is to eat healthy.  Her many years in the health and fitness industry, and specifically the weightloss industry, means she knows how to get results. She will arm you with knowledge, recipes, meal plans and an exercise regime so you can carry on your new routine at home. 

As a trained wellness and mindfulness coach, she can also support you through any emotional or physical issues which may be preventing you from achieving your goals. 

Philippa’s ultimate goal is for you to go away feeling like a better version of yourself and supported for future challenges.




The Bay of Islands ranks as one of New Zealand’s top summertime destinations and is a place of enormous historical significance (Lonely Planet, 2019). 

The retreat is perfectly situated just outside of Kerkeri and within easy reach of cycling and hiking trails.  The property is surrounded by magnificent countryside and is set in a sub-tropical garden. 

Bay of Islands Airport is 5 minutes away from the property so we can come and pick you up. If you are travelling by car, there are plenty of parking spaces available.
